Fashion Find of the week

I think Forever 21 is inspired by Christian Louboutin just as much as I am, for they have once again made a look alike shoe, from his Fall/Winter '09 collection. And guess what... its the boots I always wanted!!! Granted I wanted them in the color I posted earlier, but for  $32.80 you can't I'll take it. If anyone see's me at the Forever 21 in Union Square this Black Friday look out, cause I'm taking anyone down that gets in my way.

A little Something for the Fella's

Fridays are for the fellas, they need a little love too. Lady's don't you hate it when the guy have every thing going right for them except his taste in shoes. Well im trying to change that, one blog at a time.
With business and casual merging in the workplace and in social settings, the line between dressy and casual shoes is blurring. Many shoes can pass for both dressy and less formal occasions.
The trend on the runway for mens shoes are wide square toe, this applies for both loafers and laced shoes. The wedge heel has made an appearance in mens shoes on the runway but I'm not a personal fan. It rather see my mans shoes have a  separate heel, but thats just me. Fashion Find of the Week

Boots are in this season, and the the Christian Louboutin Charme (left) are a perfect addition to any wardrobe. These leopard trim suede ankle boots can be worn with a cute mini dress or satin cropped pants. Unfortunately these boots are priced at $975, but Forever 21 has the answer. The Chaz suede ankle boot (right) are a more economically feasible pair but still have all the fashion you need. I've personally tried them on and if they had my size I would be wearing them right now. Get them here while you still can, supplies are limited.

Get Designers, Payless

Designer Christiano Siriano is no stranger to the runways of Mulan and Paris, but he is also no stranger to department stores. For this third time Payless shoe store is partnering up with Siriano to create a line of shoes and bags for a reasonable price. Of course his new line isn't as edgy and sophisticated as his well known work but still very stylish and a steal with no pair of shoes being more than $50.

Extreme Fashion

Lady Gaga just debut her video for her sophomore album yesterday and already everyone is talking. Mostly about the Alexander McQueen shoe's she sported in the video. The same shoes that caused a lot of buzz during our recent fashion week for being so extreme, only Lady Gaga would be able to pull those shoes off, and she did a great job. Video and pics after the jump

The girls are back!! (Again)

Sex and the City 2 is currently in production, and you know what that means. More fabulous shoes from the CEO of shoeholics herself, Carrie Bradshaw. Fashion in the movie and the series were almost as big as the stars themselves and we can't expect any less for the sequel movie which is set to hit the big screen next summer. Hit the jump to see shoes from the original movie. Read more to see some of the shoes featured in the second movie.

How to Walk in High Heels

Walking in high heels is not a natural talent, it is a learned skill only perfected by practice. The best advice i can give to any beginner is to start small and work your way up. Start with a shoe that has a low wide heel, and a lot of support. Go from kitten heels, to wedges and then stilettos. Learning how to walk in heels is like learning how to walk all over again. Here are a fer of my tips to help you look marvelous in your heels and keep your face off the pavement:
  • take small slow steps
  • heels down first, then toes (never at the same time)
  • learn how to transfer your weight so you can stay on balance
  • walk with your toes pointing straight ahead
  • keep your legs straight close and parallel
  • practice walking on different types of surfaces, indoors and outdoors
Regardless of the height of your heels, take extra caution to keep your balance, and always give your feet a break. Nothing feels better than flat feet after spending the entire day on your feet in heels.

Almost There!

H&M is launching Jimmy Choo for H&M on November 14. Finally my prayers have been answered more affordable shoes from a high end designer. Men and women shoes, womens accessories and handbags designed by Jimmy himself will hit the stores this Saturday, but there is a catch (I knew it too good to be true). The line will only be available in select stores in California, Chicago and New York City. And, (get ready for this) there is a one product maximum limit per product per customer. The online preview on the H&M website shows the collection in its entirety. Click here to see the collection. The two shoes above are a sample of the wonderful creations in the collection. Personally I believe the zebra print shoes have my name written on it, what do you think?

To die for

If dying over shoes is a crime, these shoes should be the exception. The first time I saw these shoes my eyes literally watered. They are just too beautiful, a must have for any fashion diva. The Nitoinimoi 120 suede boots make a bold and strong statement that will make any outfit.

My favorite shoe designer is ...

Christian Louboutin!!!

The man is a genius, on so many levels. Where ever his mind goes to come up with these elaborate, stylish, beautiful designs for shoes, I want to live there. By far he's the best at his craft and his work speaks for himself. The government doesn't give college grants for shoe shopping so I can't afford these masterpieces, but to my surprise (and what became the decider in making him my favorite designer), a lot of my shoes are imitations or designed after his creations. So I hopefully you love him too because you will see a multitude of his shoes on this blog.
